REPSOL YPF, a Spanish-Argentine oil company, will invest US$700 million in Venezuela by 2008 on exploration and production. The company acquired a 25% stake from Argentina's Tecpetrol in Venezuelan oil field Quiamare La Ceiba, increasing its share to 75%. Terms were not disclosed.
