Matheson Tri-Gas launches distributor program

Gases & Welding Distributor, Sept-Oct, 2004

Matheson Tri-Gas Inc., Parsippany, N.J., will introduce the new Enable Distributor Development Program at the Gases and Welding Distributors Association 60th Annual Convention in October in Las Vegas. The program offers distributors services to help them market, sell, and produce industrial, medical, and specialty gas products consistent with Matheson quality standards. As part of the program, there will be an Enable Distributor Council, which will host a forum for peer-level business-strategy meetings.

"We are committed to our distributors, and the Enable program is an example of that," says Bill Kroll, Matheson's chairman, CEO, and president. "We expect to expand our offering by acquiring six air-separation plants, as announced on June 29. These plants will add to our geographical network, providing our distributors greater product-manufacturing capabilities across a wide spectrum of needs--from bulk industrial gases, through specialty, chemical, medical, and electronic gases. I am thrilled to be taking the company vision to a new level."

Rick Kowey, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Matheson's Electronic and Specialty Gas Group, adds, "Independent distributors have been, and will continue to be, a strong force in the North American marketplace. Matheson considers the Enable program an investment in capability that will pay dividends for both distributors and the company."

Matheson Tri-Gas is a single-source provider of specialty gases, bulk gases, gas-handling equipment, and purification systems. Matheson also provides support, engineering, and systems management services to analytical laboratories and semiconductor manufacturers.
