Speak Your Mind Over the Internet With VoizMail; MediaRing Introduces Free Voice Mail for Anybody on the Net! - MediaRing's VoizMail service - Company Business and Marketing

Cambridge Telcom Report, August 2, 1999

MediaRing.com, the Internet voice specialist, has introduced voice mail for everybody who has an email account in a move that brings the world's first free web steaming voice mail system to the Internet.

Now, instead of having to rely on text email to communicate with people over the Internet, Net users will be able to send and receive voice messages, simply by downloading the MediaRing Talk software for free from MediaRing.com's website at www.mediaring.com.

The introduction of MediaRing's VoizMail service will allow Internet users the choice of a full range of communication methods over the Internet. Users who might find typing on their keyboard slow or cumbersome, or who have hundreds of emails to create or respond to every day, will be able to send voice messages over the Internet as simply as making a traditional phone call. "Finally Email gets up close and personal," says Jeff Levy, host of Jeff Levy On Computers, the number one computer radio talk show. "My listeners no longer get just text emails from me; now they can get a personal voice message when I answer their questions or address their concerns."

"Email has revolutionized international communication, but I think everyone who uses it would agree that sometimes talking is still the best way for getting a message across. VoizMail combines the best of the Internet and the spoken word, making life easier and cheaper for everyone!" commented Ede Phang Ng, CEO of MediaRing.

MediaRing Talk software has always provided free voice messaging for all MediaRing users; now with the new VoizMail service users can send voice mail to anybody with an email account. Recipients do not require the VoizMail to be downloaded into their email account to hear the message, and neither are they required to download a player. However, speakers and sound card are necessary.

Using VoizMail is simple once you've downloaded the software onto your desktop from www.mediaring.com. Users can create a voice mail by pushing the record button on the MediaRing Talk voice mail feature and dictating a message. With a few simple clicks of the mouse, the voice mail can be sent to any email address. When a user is ready to send the message they are presented with two options: send to another MediaRing user or send to a regular email address. If they select the latter, the receiving party is delivered a regular email message with a hyper-link to a unique MediaRing VoizMail web page which when activated, automatically plays the voice message. There is no need for the recipient to download a player or wait for a VoizMail to be downloaded to their email account.

Once at MediaRing's VoizMail site the recipient sees a simple player with two options: Play and Stop. The message will automatically play once and if the user wishes to hear it again they can click the play button or if the message is long winded they can press the stop button to end.

MediaRing Talk and MediaRing VoizMail are provided free by the power of RingCast. RingCast is MediaRing's revolutionary advertising technology. MediaRing is recommended and offered by Compaq, IBM, 3COM, Siemens, Symantec, Ericsson, Delta-Three, Legend Computers, Toshiba laptops, Community Connect, SINA.com, Mail.ru as well many other world-wide computer and Internet companies.
