Cambridge Telcom Report, August 23, 1999

Bridging European markets with its flat-rate Net.Caller Internet long-distance phone service, Access Power, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: ACCR) and Lycos-Bertelsmann AG, the leading pan-European web service and fastest-growing Internet portal in the world, have announced an agreement to market Net.Caller on Lycos' European family of web sites.

"As the only pan-European portal, Lycos Bertelsmann is committed to providing its users with the best products and services available," said Tony Philipp, COO of Lycos Bertelsmann GmbH & Co KG. "Our relationship with Access Power to advertise Net.Caller, the only flat-rate Internet-based PC-to-phone long distance service, is another way in which we provide compelling services to the Lycos Bertelsmann audience."

Glenn Smith, CEO and president of Access Power, said the company recently announced expansion of its flat-rate Net.Caller service in Europe. "Lycos is one of the farthest-reaching online-platforms in Europe and we are excited that we can combine our European Net.Caller introduction with the web service that European consumers count on," Smith said. Net.Caller is the only Internet-based PC-to-phone long distance service offering worldwide callers unlimited calls to pan-European countries for a flat-rate of $15 per month.

Smith said that as one of the "premier partners" with Lycos, Access Power's Net.Caller will be highly visible on Lycos' most frequently visited web pages within the Lycos European web sites. "Individual Lycos users will be able to instantly link to Access Power's web site and learn more about Net.Caller, register for service and download free software," he said.

The company currently offers a flat fee of $10 per month for unlimited calls from anywhere in the world to the company's North American service area, which includes the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. For $20 per month Internet callers may choose both the North American and European Net.Caller coverage plans. What's more, both services can be accessed through the number one pan-European Internet search and navigation platform -- Lycos Europe.

The Access Power Net.Caller web pages will be published in seven European languages including English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Dutch and Swedish to meet needs of European customers.
