Unisys Corporation and Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories Inc. Tuesday announced that 1st Webbank Direct, an Internet initiative operating as a division of Sovereign Bank, has selected Unisys and Genesys to provide a fully integrated e-business solution.
The solution will include a Web-enabled contact center, computer telephony integration (CTI) capabilities, training, and testing services.
Unisys will furnish the proactive sales and service component of FBA Navigator, a Unisys e-@ction Banking Solution. This application will facilitate customer contact via the Internet and the contact center, and will be integrated with Genesys interaction management and CTI software, including its Internet Suite.

This joint solution will enable 1st Webbank Direct customers to communicate with the bank via the communication channel of their choice - e-mail, the Internet, or traditional telephone.
