MobileSys and WebLink Wireless to Bring Network Monitoring Information to Wireless Devices; MobileSys Joins Enterprise Solutions Partner Program - Company Business and Marketing

Cambridge Telcom Report, Dec 20, 1999

An alliance between WebLink Wireless Inc., and MobileSys Inc. will bring system alerts and messages to customers who need to know a network's status as soon as a problem develops. MobileSys is the latest participant in WebLink Wireless' Enterprise Solutions Partner Program, which takes advantage of the company's nationwide two-way wireless data network to bring businesses the most effective and efficient communications services available.

MobileSys' EtherPage wireless messaging software is integrated into network monitoring tools, corporate e-mail servers and company databases. EtherPage takes messages or alerts generated by those applications and delivers them, via WebLink Wireless' network, to wireless devices. EtherPage has led to significant productivity improvements at a broad range of companies, including Qualcomm Corporation, where the field service organization has installed it for messaging.

"Network updates must be quickly delivered in order for immediate corrective action to occur," said Doug Glen, vice president of corporate development at WebLink Wireless. "MobileSys' expertise, combined with our extensive network, will bring field personnel the critical information they need to fix system problems."

The Enterprise Solutions Partner Program, first announced by WebLink Wireless in October, combines the strengths of key companies throughout the technology industry to create systems that solve communications problems for businesses. Companies that are members of the program include Abstract Data Technologies, DMR Consulting Group, eLoyalty, Telamon, 3SI, Timebills.com and Vitria Technology Inc.

"EtherPage extends the reach of system monitoring applications to mobile professionals by providing a conduit between the system and the messaging provider," said Dave Coelho, founder and CEO of MobileSys. "Teaming with WebLink Wireless gives us access to a data network unmatched in the industry, and brings our services to a new and extremely large customer base."

MobileSys, Inc. is the leading provider of pervasive wireless communications solutions.
