Executive Suite: PairGain Appoints Warren Roddy Senior Vice President of North American Sales; PairGain Further Enhances Executive Team - Company Operations

PairGain Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: PAIR), a leader in broadband access systems, Wednesday announced the appointment of Warren Roddy as senior vice president, North American sales, effective immediately. Mr. Roddy assumes responsibility for all of the Company's North American sales activities, including channel relationships with an ever-expanding customer base. Mr. Roddy also will provide strategic sales direction in the region to assure PairGain's success within emerging carrier markets, while cultivating even stronger relationships with the Company's traditional customer base.

"Warren brings an attractive combination of successful sales experience in the industry, coupled with strong leadership skills. We're confident he'll make an immediate and very positive impact."

Warren Roddy has many years of successful sales management experience in the communications industry, most recently serving as vice president of sales at Diamond Lane Communications. He was also instrumental in Diamond Lane's successful launch and eventual buyout by Nokia Communications last March. Before Diamond Lane, he held senior sales management positions with Cisco Systems and N.E.T. While at Cisco, Mr. Roddy was responsible for strategic planning and management of Cisco's highly successful MCI account, growing revenues in excess of 30 percent each quarter.
