GoDigital Networks Names Former AOL/Netscape Executive to Top Marketing Post - David J. Krantz - Company Operations

Cambridge Telcom Report, Nov 1, 1999

GoDigital Networks Corporation, (GoDigital), a leading provider of long-range DSL infrastructure solutions, announced Wednesday that David J. Krantz has joined the company as vice president of marketing and business development. Most recently, Krantz was senior director, marketing and development at AOL/Netscape. At GoDigital, Krantz will be responsible for marketing and business development of GoDigital solutions. Today, more than 80 leading communications providers rely on GoDigital to multiply and extend the capabilities of existing copper phone lines to bring reliable, high-performance broadband and voice services to subscribers across North America, regardless of distance from the central phone office.

In his nine-year career, Krantz has held marketing positions at some of the most recognized high-technology and communications companies including AOL, Netscape, Pacific Bell, McKinsey & Co., Procter & Gamble Co., and Sprint Corporation. At AOL, Krantz was responsible for strategic business development and managed major corporate partner relationships. During his tenure at Netscape, Krantz played a leadership role in strategic planning during the company's transition in focus from web browsers to enterprise software.

Prior to Netscape, Krantz was director of business development & alliances in the Consumer Markets group at Pacific Bell. At Pacific Bell, Krantz managed a turn-around effort for the prepaid calling card business and had direct-line and P&L responsibility for the Pacific Bell co-branded credit card. At Sprint, as product manager of the Sprint Instant Foncard, Krantz managed a $6 million marketing budget, directing the national launch of Sprint's first consumer product sold through retail outlets.

Krantz received a Bachelor of Science degree with concentration in Finance and Management from the University of Virginia, McIntire School of Commerce and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard University.

"More than 80 leading communications providers in North America use GoDigital today to extend and multiply the capability of their existing copper line infrastructure, at a fraction of the cost of other alternatives. Through GoDigital, these companies can reach the remaining 50 percent of their potential subscriber base that, until now, could not get access to high-speed Internet services because of their location or the lack of phone lines," said Dennis Haar, president and CEO, GoDigital. "We welcome David to our executive team. His marketing and business development expertise will be strategic as we continue to expand our customer base and partnerships and deliver innovative solutions that extend the distance and capabilities of high-speed Internet and voice services."

GoDigital Networks Corporation (formerly GoDigital Telecommunications) is a leading provider of DSL infrastructure products that extend the reach, bandwidth and performance of copper wire to support high speed Internet access and voice services.
