Cambridge Telcom Report, Nov 15, 1999
Cabletron Systems Monday announced it has added two new members to its MultiSwitch family - the MultiSwitch FE Switch 924TXG and MultiSwitch FE Switch 916TXG. These new solutions maximize the benefits of the MultiSwitch platform by delivering 24 and 16 ports of 10/100 Fast Ethernet and modular Gigabit Ethernet ports to provide affordable, high-density Layer 2 switching for large or small enterprise networks.
The MS924TXG and MS916TXG offer easy, plug-and play installation and the flexibility to function as either a standalone solution (using the DEChub One) or as a modular solution (using the MultiSwitch 900 chassis), making it an ideal solution for growing networks. These new switches combine wire-speed performance and a full set of industry standard features for networks that require high performance switching to drive bandwidth-intensive applications and provide high volume data transfer.
