NetSat Express, Inc., a subsidiary of Globecomm Systems Inc., has announced that IBM and former AT&T Executive Marni Ehrlich will join NetSat Express as Chief Executive Officer, effective October 18, 1999.
Mr. Ehrlich has 20 years of senior management experience in Internet services, International Telecommunications and E-Business, most notably with IBM and AT&T. Most recently, Mr. Ehrlich held positions as Global Solutions Director of IBM's ISP Technical Marketing Division and Program Director for IBM's Voice and IP Solutions Division.
Prior to joining IBM, Mr. Ehrlich was Product Marketing Director for AT&T WorldNet(TM) Service, and was a founder of the AT&T Internet service.

At AT&T, Mr. Ehrlich also held the position of Vice President of Product Management for AT&T's Personal Communications Systems Division, as well as several key marketing, business development, product management and development management roles. He jointly holds a patent for Internet radio advertising mediation, and has lectured worldwide on how to become a valued-added Internet Service Provider.
According to David E. Hershberg, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Globecomm Systems and Chairman of NetSat Express, "We are extremely pleased to welcome Marni Ehrlich as the new Chief Executive Officer of NetSat Express. His broad background and capabilities, and especially his expertise and knowledge of the global ISP and ASP markets will be instrumental in leading NetSat Express to meet our growth expectations."
Upon accepting the position, Mr. Ehrlich said, "I am extremely excited about the leadership role that NetSat Express has taken in the global expansion of the Internet and the E-Business revolution. As a result, the Company is well positioned to continue the successful implementation of initiatives for the growth of our services around the globe."
Mr. Ehrlich succeeds interim CEO Kenneth A. Miller, who will retain his seat on the NetSat Express Board of Directors and continue in his role as President of NetSat Express' parent company, Globecomm Systems Inc. This move is in line with Globecomm System's internal plan to provide NetSat Express with a separate management team.
NetSat Express provides satellite-based Internet access services, digital media distribution services, and integrated data, voice and video communications services.
The parent company of NetSat Express, Globecomm Systems, designs, assembles and installs ground segment systems and networks which support a wide range of satellite communications applications, including fixed, mobile and direct broadcast services as well as military applications. The Company's customers include prime communications infrastructure contractors, government-owned PTTs, other telecommunications carriers, producers and distributors of news and entertainment content and other corporations.
