SpectraLink Doubles Year-Over-Year EPS in Third Quarter 1999 - earnings per share - Company Financial Information

SpectraLink Corporation (Nasdaq: SLNK) announced earnings per share of $0.08 on revenue of $10.4 million for the third quarter of 1999, a 100 percent increase over earnings of $0.04 on revenue of $9.6 million in the third quarter of 1998. Net income was $1,605,000, compared to net income of $729,000 in the third quarter of 1998.

As of September 30, 1999, SpectraLink's revenue rose to approximately $30 million, compared to revenue of $25 million for the first nine months of 1998. At the same time, earnings per share have improved 400 percent, from $0.04 for the first nine months of 1998 to $0.20 in 1999.

Highlights of the SpectraLink third quarter include:

-- Two additions to the company's growing list of distributor partners: Norstan, Inc. and BellSouth Corporation.

-- Additional LinkPlus digital interfaces to telephone switches from NEC and Inter-Tel. SpectraLink's unique ability to digitally integrate with all popular PBX and key systems enables users to access the calling features of the corporate phone system using their SpectraLink Wireless Telephones.

-- The introduction of the ccLink Wireless Telephone System, the industry's only wireless telephone system with sufficient capacity to meet the heavy traffic demands of call centers, conference centers, and emergency response centers.

-- The addition of Teklogix Inc., a leading manufacturer of wireless data communication networks, as a SpectraLink Voice Prioritization (SVP) technology partner. Teklogix joins Aironet Wireless Communications, BreezeCOM, Inc., Intermec Technologies Corp., Proxim, Inc., and Telxon Corporation in implementing SVP technology, SpectraLink's innovative implementation of wireless Voice over IP (VoIP). Through SVP, wireless LAN vendors can support SpectraLink's 802.11 compliant NetLink Wireless Telephone System, resulting in a single wireless network that supports both voice and data devices.
