Cabletron Systems has unveiled its GlobalNetwork Technology Services division, continuing its focus on offering world class, award-winning service offerings to its partners, enterprise and service provider customers.

GlobalNetwork Technology Services will refocus on bringing to market a range of enhanced technology-based services that allow customers with global or large regional networks to better leverage their business critical investment in equipment and employees.

Earle Humphreys, executive vice president and general manager, GlobalNetwork Technology Services explained, "Cabletron has been a leader in the communication technology services business since the company was founded. As GlobalNetwork Technology Services, we will take our world-class services to an even broader audience and deliver a more comprehensive and flexible range of service. The breadth of knowledge, expertise and experience that we have within GlobalNetwork Technology Services will be focused on delivering these key business drivers."

GlobalNetwork Technology Services delivers worldwide services that include technology enabled professional services, development and implementation, availability, educational and SPECTRUM services, as well as innovative offerings in the voice, ISP/Telco and convergence markets. These services are delivered to enterprise and service provider customers and will be packaged for resell through Cabletron's channel business partners worldwide. GlobalNetwork Technology Services currently deliver services that are matched to the business needs of customers, some of which include AT&T, Compaq, Merrill Lynch, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Earthlink.

GlobalNetwork Technology Services division has over 1000 service professionals dedicated to resolving demanding challenges and problems, managing client projects, and providing worldwide, 24-hour state-of-the-art technical support via facilities in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. As well as providing direct services, the division is also forming strategic alliances with companies such as Unisys to provide additional service coverage within existing and emerging markets.

The GlobalNetwork Technology Services new portfolio of services will be generally available for delivery in 110 countries worldwide by November 1, 1999.
