AT&T Canada has announced the composition of its Board of Directors. The appointments follow the June 1, 1999 merger of AT&T Canada Long Distance Services and MetroNet Communications Corp.
Mr. Purdy Crawford O.C. is appointed Chairman of the Board of AT&T Canada. Mr. Crawford has a long and distinguished career as a Canadian business leader. In addition to his new role, he is currently chairman of Imasco Limited and CT Financial Services Inc. and a Director on the Board of several leading Canadian companies.
Other members of the newly constituted Board of Directors are as follows: Marc G. Fortier, Chairman and CEO, Air Liquide Canada Inc., and a member of the MetroNet Board prior to the merger.
