Symantec Corporation announced it has signed a strategic cross-promotion agreement with AT&T that is designed to make Internet computing easy, secure, and reliable. Under the terms of the agreement, Symantec will bundle AT&T's WorldNet Service Internet software with retail copies of Norton SystemWorks 2000, Norton Utilities 2000 and ACT! 2000, from Symantec beginning September 1999, and pcAnywhere 9.0, in Fall, 1999. For a limited time, AT&T will offer one month of free Internet access to users who register for AT&T WorldNet Service from one of the specified Symantec products. AT&T will also include trialware of Norton Utilities 2000 on the AT&T WorldNet Service software CD.

The agreement underscores Symantec's continued commitment to helping users maximize their productivity through powerful utilities and anti-virus software, remote access tools, and comprehensive contact management solutions that guard users against threats to content security and integrity. Through its agreement with AT&T, Symantec is also providing their users an easy way to access the Internet via AT&T WorldNet Services, one of the leading direct Internet Service Providers in the U.S.

Norton Utilities 2000 is the most effective system optimization and problem-solving tool, offering consumers an easy-to-use solution for fixing, maintaining, and optimizing their personal computers.
ACT! 2000 is the latest version of the best-selling contact manager, with over 1.5 million users worldwide, and is the retail contact management market leader with 77 percent market share, according to PCData.
pcAnywhere 9.0 is the leading remote control and file transfer system for mobile users and the IT professionals who support them.
AT&T WorldNet Service http://www.att.net is the number one direct Internet Service Provider in the U.S., serving 1.6 million members. It provides reliable, easy Internet access across the nation, free e-mail, chat, 30 megabytes of free web space, online communities, and discounted games. AT&T WorldNet Service members who "refer-a-friend" to the Internet service can earn a $10 reward for every referral. Plus, with the introduction of the AT&T Personal Network, consumers can include Internet access on a bill that combines wireless and long distance service all on a single bill.
