Cambridge Telcom Report, April 10, 2000
Network Telephone Corporation, a leading provider of facilities-based broadband telecommunications services, announced Friday that it has successfully completed Voice over Digital Subscriber Line (VoDSL) telephone calls through its Lucent-based PathStar Access Server. The calls were placed using DSL equipment from Copper Mountain Networks (Nasdaq: CMTN), including CopperEdge DSL Concentrators and CopperRocket 408 Integrated Access Devices (IAD). "The voice quality is toll grade," said Arvil Fowler, Vice President and Chief Technical Officer for Network Telephone. "This shows there is a tremendous opportunity for businesses to reap the benefits and cost savings of Voice over DSL, without compromising the quality of their service."
