Philips and One Voice Technologies Form Global Strategic Alliance - Company Business and Marketing

One Voice Technologies Inc., "One Voice," (OTCBB:ONEV) a worldwide market leader in human interface technologies for PCs, wireless devices and the Internet, and Philips Speech Processing, a business unit of Royal Philips Electronics and one of the global market leaders in speech recognition, natural dialogue and language understanding technologies, Tuesday announced a global strategic alliance.

Under the agreement the two companies will work together on customization, integration and joint customer projects as well as the global licensing and co-marketing of advanced speech-enabled applications. The alliance is based on a common vision of creating next generation speech-based interfaces, which brings new levels of usability to the millions of worldwide electronic device users.

One Voice's soon-to-be released product family called IVAN -- Intelligent Voice Animated Navigator will incorporate Philips' acclaimed speech recognition technology in 16 different languages for PC, wireless and consumer electronic devices worldwide.

To date, speech recognition software has been used primarily in corporate and heavy dictation-oriented environments for command-and-control and word processing applications. However, today's alliance broadens the scope of possible speech enabled applications. One Voice's revolutionary technology called IVIT ("Intelligent Voice Interactive Technology") is the only human interface technology engine based on Artificial Intelligence, Expert Systems and Natural Language Processing. IVIT understands advanced linguistic concepts such as topic, subject and synonym. As a result people can speak naturally to their computers as if they were speaking to a friend to easily search for and find information using the worlds most advanced human interface technology.

Now by using One Voice's IVAN, consumers can for the first time speak their thoughts to browse and search the Internet all through true natural-language dialogue and interaction. One Voice's IVAN, utilizing Philips' natural speech recognition technology, will soon be available in U.S. English as well as all major European and Asian languages. Philips' Speech SDK speech recognition software development kit will allow One Voice Technologies to seamlessly integrate state of the art, multi-lingual speech recognition into IVAN and other applications.
