International Strategies Ezyfind.com Selects Premier Commerce Service Provider, GlobalCenter, to Host Worldwide Community Portals - Company Business and Marketing

Cambridge Telcom Report, Jan 17, 2000

International Strategies Ezyfind.com, a global community Web portal that combines local information sources, e-commerce and Web communications, announced Tuesday it has chosen GlobalCenter Inc., a subsidiary of Global Crossing Ltd, and its Commerce Service Solution to ensure scalability as it expands its network of community portals.

"With online communities spanning from Wagga Wagga, Australia to White Plains, N.Y., Ezyfind.com demands a service provider that can respond to worldwide site traffic and usage," said Tom Cameron, Ezyfind.com's chief technology officer. "Our rapid global expansion dictates that we select a solution that ensures continual back-up, provides the necessary capacity and effectively secures our sites."

The rapidly expanding network of community portals, expected to be fully developed and introduced to consumers in the United States the first quarter of 2000, provides easy access to information such as community notices, employment listings, real estate, classifieds, local news, sports and weather. In addition, links provide access to online shopping, chat rooms, community bulletin boards, online auctions and e-mail.

"GlobalCenter welcomes the opportunity to support Ezyfind.com with our solution, providing them with the Internet infrastructure needed to compete in the digital economy," said Paul Santinelli, GlobalCenter's vice president of technology. "In addition to Ezyfind.com, GlobalCenter's customers include many of the largest and most densely trafficked sites on the Web, including Yahoo!, The Motley Fool, Ziff Davis, MP3.com and eToys."
