TranSwitch Corporation, a leading developer and global supplier of innovative high-speed VLSI solutions for communications applications, announced Monday it has entered into a strategic technology agreement with Datum Inc., a leading designer and global supplier of synchronization, timing and frequency solutions for telecommunications, computer networks, satellite systems and test and measurement applications.
Under the terms of the agreement, TranSwitch reference design solutions utilizing Datum technology along with TranSwitch devices will be provided to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). In addition, Datum will utilize SONET/SDH technology developed by TranSwitch to expand its product line for Voice over IP (VoIP) embedded applications.
