Vodavi Expands Starplus DHS Product Line With New Communications System - Vodavi Technology's telephone management equipment - Product Announcement

Cambridge Telcom Report, March 13, 2000

Vodavi Technology Inc., (Nasdaq:VTEK), Monday announced the addition of the STARPLUS DHS-L to the highly acclaimed STARPLUS DHS family of communications systems.

This new configuration, which utilizes current DHS telephones, offers users T1 support and increased system capacity with three basic configurations: 24x96, 32x80 or 48x96. DHS-L will be unveiled at Booth No. 1001 at the Computer Telephony Expo on March 7-9, 2000 in Los Angeles.

The DHS product line consists of three communications systems: the DHS which starts at three lines and eight digital telephones and grows to nine lines and 24 telephones; the DHS-E which supports three lines and eight digital telephones with expansion capabilities to 18 lines and 48 telephones; and the new DHS-L which meets business requirements in the aforementioned three configurations.

The DHS-L employs a universal slot concept, which allows a great deal of flexibility when planning the system configuration. In the nine universal slots, any type of trunk or station card supported by the system can be inserted.

"We are pleased to fulfill our customers' request for a larger system that has the all the features and functions of the current DHS products and over three times the current system capacity," said Stephen Borcich, Vodavi's vice president of sales and marketing. "The introduction of the DHS-L rounds out the product line and is another example of how Vodavi strives to combine quality and value in its products."

Availability STARPLUS DHS-L will begin shipping this summer through authorized STARPLUS dealers.
