ACT Teleconferencing Launches Internet Conferencing Services With Microsoft Windows Media Technology - Company Business and Marketing

ACT Teleconferencing, Inc. (Nasdaq: ACTT), a full-service global provider of audio, video, data and Internet conferencing products and services, Friday announced that it will offer Microsoft Windows Media (Nasdaq: MSFT) as its preferred audio and video format to deliver its conference casting services globally.

"Windows Media technology offers ACT's customers a lot of advantages," said ACT's Emily Magrish, V.P. Marketing, North America. "The quality of Windows Media is superior to other players. The video latency is lower, and the audio and video clarity is improved, all making for a better customer experience. Our customers prefer it."

Microsoft will support ACT's Internet conferencing services though promotion in its electronic newsletters and the Windows Media Web site. Additionally, Microsoft's field representatives will inform customers of the availability of ACT's conference casting services.
