Paradyne (Nasdaq:PDYN) Tuesday announced that Sprint (NYSE:FON) has selected Paradyne's FrameSaver service level management solution to support its new customer network management (CNM) platform, Sprint Frame Relay Performance Manager. Sprint will introduce their new CNM solution at the Networld Interop trade show this week in Las Vegas.
The only vendor currently approved for the new CNM solution, Paradyne has worked closely with Sprint to provide a unique network reporting solution that offers customers Sprint-specific service-level validation and a robust suite of performance reports.

"FrameSaver's standards-based architecture readily integrates into the Sprint Frame Relay Performance Manager service architecture," said Frank Wiener, vice president of Broadband Access Solutions for Paradyne. "Sprint can truly extend service management end-to-end, enabling their engineers to strategically manage customer networks and ensure increased network availability and performance. Sprint customers using Paradyne's FrameSaver endpoints benefit from our lower-cost implementation and compatibility with other enterprise management solutions, with the ability to choose ISDN dial back-up for disaster recovery support of their mission-critical network applications."
The new CNM service, which will be available in mid-summer, will provide comprehensive monitoring capabilities that simplify the complex tasks of managing mission-critical networks and verifying SLAs. Customers can access performance management tools via Sprint Network Manager using a simple Web browser anytime and from virtually anywhere around the world.
