Yahoo! Inc. (Nasdaq:YHOO), a leading global Internet communications, commerce and media company, Thursday announced that it has signed an agreement with Telecom Italia Mobile (TIM), the largest mobile network operator in Europe. Under the agreement, Yahoo! is providing a comprehensive range of Yahoo!'s WAP (wireless application protocol)-enabled content and services in Italian to TIM's customers. The TIM relationship is the most recent example of Yahoo!'s commitment to deliver Yahoo!'s popular services directly to mobile devices, allowing individuals to access Yahoo! from any device, anywhere in the world.

Through numerous distribution agreements with wireless networks and mobile phone manufacturers, Yahoo!'s popular programming and communications services are available to users on the go in Europe, Asia, the United States and Canada. Agreements already in place around the world include the following:
-- Bell Mobility -- Bell Mobility is Canada's leading telecommunications provider. Yahoo! Canada is delivering popular Yahoo! Canada features such as Yahoo! Finance, Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo! Sports and more to Bell Mobility customers.
-- D2 Mannesman -- D2 is Germany's leading mobile telephony service provider. Yahoo! Germany is providing news, finance, sports and weather information, plus My Yahoo! to D2 users with WAP-enabled mobile phones.
-- New World Mobility -- New World Mobility is a leading telecommunications provider in Hong Kong. Yahoo! and New World Mobility in Hong Kong are working together to enable individuals to access Yahoo! Hong Kong content on WAP phones.
-- Radiolinja -- Radiolinja is a leading mobile communications service provider in Finland. Radiolinja and Yahoo! Sweden have joined forces to deliver Yahoo! news and financial information to Radiolinja customers with WAP-enabled phones.
-- Siemens -- Siemens is a leading German mobile phone manufacturer. Yahoo! Europe delivers Web content provider for Siemens phones, allowing Siemens phone consumers easy access to Yahoo! content and services directly from their mobile phone.
-- Telecom Italia Mobile (TIM) -- TIM is Europe's largest mobile telephone services operator with more than 20 million users and ranks first in the world by GSM customer base. Yahoo! Europe is providing TIM with a broad range of Yahoo!'s WAP-enabled services, including Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo! Messenger, Yahoo! Finance, Yahoo! News, Yahoo! Sports, Yahoo! Calendar, Yahoo! Movies, My Yahoo! and more.
-- Telenor -- Telenor is a leading telecommunications provider in Norway. Yahoo! is providing Yahoo! Messenger to users of the Telenor mobile telephony network, enabling them to exchange instant messages with online friends and colleagues. Both WAP-enabled phones and phones supporting SIM Tool Kits can run Yahoo! Messenger on the Telenor network.
The Yahoo! Everywhere initiative enables consumers around the globe to access Yahoo!'s Web content and services on data phones, personal digital assistants, and an array of other alternative and wireless devices. To date, Yahoo! has entered wireless agreements with a number of service providers and manufacturers of Web-connected devices as part of its Yahoo! Everywhere strategy. Palm Computing, AT&T Wireless Services, Motorola, Hewlett-Packard, Sprint PCS, OmniSky, VTech and Cidco have teamed with Yahoo! to offer Yahoo! Web content and services to their consumers inside the United States. Internationally, Bell Mobility and Motorola in Canada, D2 Mannesman Mobilfunk in Germany, Siemens in Asia and Europe, and SmarTone and New World in Hong Kong, Radiolinja in Finland, and Telecom Italia Mobile in Italy have also joined with Yahoo! to distribute Yahoo!'s Web content and services to wireless phone consumers.
