(NASDAQ:CMTN) to offer voice over DSL solutions to Competitive Local Exchange Carriers, Incumbent Local Exchange Carriers, and Inter-Exchange Carriers. ADTRAN's Total Access 850 integrated access device (IAD) and Copper Mountain's CopperEdge 200 DSL Concentrator deliver cost-effective, carrier-class access solutions to the voice over DSL market.

ADTRAN's Total Access 850 system is a next-generation carrier-class IAD that benefits communications providers who require a customer premises device to integrate voice and data functions. The Total Access system offers a complete, immediate, and easy-to-deploy solution allowing a seamless migration path from TDM-based applications services to SDSL and G.shdsl. Copper Mountain's CopperEdge 200 DSL Concentrator enables carriers and other service providers to offer high-performance data and voice services using DSL technology. It is the ideal platform for customers seeking increased return on investment via DSL service offerings.

The Total Access 850 system offers superior features and unparalleled flexibility, such as IP/IPX routing supporting Frame Relay and PPP, FXO and FXS interfaces for analog voice, and DSX-1 for digital voice. It also offers a V.35 interface for connecting with external routers or video-conferencing equipment.
The CopperEdge 200 DSL Concentrator is a carrier-class platform that supports multiple types of DSL concurrently, including ADSL, G.lite, IDSL, and SDSL. The CopperEdge provides bandwidth of up to 8 Mbps on a DSL line using a single copper pair. In addition, Copper Mountain's CopperEdge DSL concentrators support multiple services over DSL, including Internet access, toll-quality voice services, corporate virtual private networks (VPNs), and Frame Relay.
