Exodus Communications, Inc.(Nasdaq:EXDS), a leader in complex Internet hosting and managed services, Monday announced it has named Morris Taradalsky executive vice president for engineering.
Taradalsky will be responsible for the company's worldwide engineering implementation and strategic engineering planning efforts. Taradalsky, who has thirty years of executive experience in the computer industry, will report directly to Ellen M. Hancock, Exodus' president and chief executive officer. The Company also announced Monday that James McInerney has been appointed technology strategist. In this new role, he will be responsible for emerging technologies and integration opportunities. McInerney continues to report to Ellen M. Hancock.

"Morris' extensive background with market leaders such as IBM and Apple will add tremendous strength to our experienced senior management team," said Ellen M. Hancock, president and CEO of Exodus. Taradalsky's previous experience includes 18 years with IBM, where he worked in a variety of engineering and management positions to help establish the computer industry's recognized standard of business programming lines. Taradalsky also served six years as vice president and general manager in the business systems division at Apple Computer. He served as executive vice president for leading eBusiness Internet software provider NetObjects, and also led storage subsystem vendor MicroNet Technology, where he served as president and CEO.
As technology strategist, James McInerney will also continue to work with the Exodus management team to ensure that the Company's worldwide backbone network remains as one of the Web hosting industry's most scalable, robust and secure networks.
