Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE:A) Monday announced the most integrated, scalable and comprehensive solution for ATM network-performance management in the industry. As part of its network-performance management strategy, the company introduced the first ATM OC-12 probe and NetMetrix Enterprise Manager 7.0, a system for optimizing network performance in enterprise environments with support for ATM OC-12.
Agilent's network-performance management strategy provides the network intelligence that decision-makers require to take control of the explosive growth of the Internet. NetMetrix solutions enable service-level management and deliver reliable network availability and exceptional network performance. These capabilities enable organizations to align network services with overall business goals, which can facilitate revenue growth and customer acquisition, increase customer loyalty and reduce costs.

Extensive Intelligence Enables Better Management

To increase visibility, Agilent offers the industry's most comprehensive offering of media-specific data collectors, such as the Agilent NetMetrix OC-12 ATM probe. Together with Agilent NetMetrix Enterprise Manager, the probe provides insight into the performance of mission-critical high-capacity ATM networks by monitoring traffic and providing the information needed to optimize network performance proactively. Capabilities of the Agilent NetMetrix ATM solution include:
-- the ability to monitor a broad range of network capacities from 56kbs to 622Mbs;
-- extensive network and application visibility, from the physical-network layer and cell statistics to the application level; and
-- extensive usage and statistical tracking and reporting.
