Hypertherm, Inc., has introduced the Powermaxl650[R], a G3 plasma cutting system for heavy metal applications. Maximum cut capacity is 1-1/2 ins. The system delivers gouging capabilities at a rate in excess of 22 lbs per hour Output is 100 amp/16 kilowatt. The following features are incorporated in the system: Autovoltage[TM] input sensing that allows operation from 200 to 600 volts, 3-phase with no rewiring; ETR[TM], which provides the operator with easy switching between hand and machine torches.
