Bullhorn [TM], a wireless monitoring system from American Innovations, is designed to check inputs from equipment remotely and provide automatic notification of alarm events by fax, page and/or e-mail. Among the railroad devices the system can monitor are crossing guards, switches, detour lights, batteries, event recorders, track lubricators and track heaters. The system uses the MicroBurst [TM] wireless network from Aeris.net to transfer information within seconds from remote equipment to central database where the data packets are decoded and the data posted for viewing or downloading.
