Dynamic track stabilizer - Products/Literature - Plasser and Theurer - Brief Article

Railway Track and Structures, June, 2001

The Plasser & Theurer Dynamic Track Stabilizer is designed to raise track resistance to lateral stability and achieve a controlled lowering of the track which anticipates initial settlements. Following stabilization, the track can be reopened for traffic at line speed, especially on newly-laid track or after track maintenance. Higher track quality permits extended intervals between maintenance of about 30 percent.
