Railway Track and Structures, June, 2002

ALSTOM's new SPECTROM Color Light signal is designed for use as a mainline railroad signal for long-or short-range viewing. The SPECTROM has a single easily-removable door and all maintenance is performed from the back of the signal, thereby increasing safety. The lightness of the SPECTROM rugged extruded aluminum body allows a one-person installation, making it the easiest signal to install in the field. The SPECTROM is available in both traditional incandescent lamp and LED types and has a viewing range of over one mile under normal daylight condition. The SPECTROM is a safer, more reliable, easier to maintain, low-cost signal, providing the customer more value and more choice.
