With increases in traffic volumes and tonnages coupled with decreases in workforce, it is becoming more and more difficult to meet the demands of track maintenance and track safety requirements. This 3.5-day workshop will address these questions and many, many more. You will learn how to inspect for safety, and maintenance, and how to do the job in less time with invaluable tips and techniques. Learn where to look, how to look and what the track is trying to tell you.

About the instructor: For over 20 years Don Holfeld has been involved in the research, planning and analysis of railway operations including roles as Director of Operations - Training, Track & Roadway Engineering and Plant Maintenance. He has also directed the design and construction of rail yards, facilities and support services. Currently, he is Director of Training and Field Engineering for Zeta-Tech Associates, Inc. and oversees field engineering activities. In the education field he has served as an auxiliary professor at McGill University where he created and instructed graduate level courses on Railway Engineering.
