Norfolk Southern established a new Thoroughbred Bulk Transfer terminal at Fayetteville, N.C. Tidewater Transit Company Inc. has been selected to operate the facility, as well as NS' TBT facility at Dalton, Ga.

The new TBT terminal has 50 car spots, with separate tracks for food products, and can handle both dry and liquid bulk products. The Fayetteville facility features paving, security, full fencing, steam boiler for product heating, lighting, 24-hour access and truck scales. All TBT terminals are open facilities and allow haulage by qualified motor carriers. The terminal has convenient access to Interstate 95.
