Study: firms lack severance policies

A new study has found that 25 percent of companies do not have an active executive severance policy in place. Of those companies that do, only half define the conditions and terms of the policy, according to a recent study conducted by Hay Group. The study also found that almost one third of CEOs are working without employment contracts.
