Risk & Insurance, Nov, 2004

St. Paul Travelers has introduced the company's new logo (below). In developing the logo, the company looked back at the history of each organization. The new logo features an icon that blends an element from each company's history, incorporating the wing of Mercury from The St. Paul's history and a shield of armor from a knight in Travelers' history.

The new shield icon is combined with the "St. Paul Travelers" name to represent the combined company's commercial and specialty business lines. The shield icon is combined with the "Travelers" name to represent the combined company's personal lines of insurance.
