The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission released the number of discrimination charges, by type of discrimination, that it received in FY 2004, along with the monetary benefits recovered for charging parties and other aggrieved individuals during that term (which doesn't include monetary benefits obtained through litigation).

24,249 charges filed $100.8 million recovered
Retaliation Discrimination
22,740 charges filed $90 million recovered
Age Discrimination
17,837 charges filed $60.0 million recovered
