Charter Partners USA Inc. has named STEVEN H. LAWRENCE to the newly created position of Chief Risk Officer, the firm has announced. Lawrence most recently held the position of co-national practice leader of the insurance risk management practice at Ernst & Young. He brings more than 25 years of risk management experience, including positions with Fortune 500 companies PepsiCo, Mars, IBM and Hoffmann-La Roche.

He will oversee Charters risk management services. He will also be responsible for structuring captive insurance programs and analyzing claims data to determine where risk management resources can be most productively applied.
