Burke unveils new website

The Northern Territory has unleashed its latest weapon to attract interest and investment from Asia and Australia -- a newly revamped government website.
Chief Minister Mr Denis Burke launched the new face of the Northern Territory Government in cyberspace last month.
The new website is part of the government's overall IT strategy. Mr Burke said Darwin, with its established infrastructure and strategic location between areas such as Malaysia's IT super-corridor and Australia's east coast, was an ideal base for software development companies.
He urged the Territory to become more involved in the IT industry.
Mr Burke said a Territory IT industry would realistically involve innovative smaller companies rather than multinational corporations.
