Business Asia, May, 2001

A further investment has been made into a skilled workforce in Vietnam with this year's launch of the RMIT International University Vietnam (RIUV) City Campus programs in Ho Chi Minh City.

The establishment of the City Campus of RIUV arose from the increasing demand for education and career-oriented training to support industry and government investment in a skilled workforce. The campus offers training and education programs, and innovative research and development activities, designed to meet the needs of private industry, the government and community. Courses on offer at this stage include systems engineering, software engineering, business, computing, professional accounting, computer science and information technology and multimedia.

RIUV is the first foreign-owned private university in Vietnam.
