BANGKOK -- Royal Garden Resort Pcl, one of Thailand's largest hotel operators, expects sales to rise more than 20 per cent this year and profit growth to surpass the sales increase as hotel occupancy rises and costs are contained. The company expects to attract more guests after it renovated two main hotels in Hua Hin in southwest Thailand, opened its Phuket resort and bought a hotel in Chiangrai in northern Thailand for 145 million baht ($6.08 million) in April, Chief Financial Officer Pratana Manomaiphiboon said.

Profit will grow faster than sales as the hotel operator keeps costs from rising, she said.
