Howard a special guest at '99 export awards - John Howard, Australian Prime Minister

Australian Prime Minister Mr John Howard will be the keynote speaker at the 1999 Australian Export Awards presentation dinner in December.
The Prime Minister's attendance adds to the lustre of this year's gala dinner, which will be held on December 1 at the Crown Entertainment Complex in Melbourne.
The awards, the premier event on the calendar for Australia's exporters, recognise outstanding trade achievements by Australian companies.
Industry categories include agribusiness, entertainment, information technology, mining, services, large advanced manufacturers, and small- to medium-sized enterprises. DHL Worldwide Express will again sponsor the 1999 Australian Exporter of the Year, the premier award presented to one of the category winners on the night.
Deputy Prime Minister and Trade Minister Mr Tim Fischer will officially launch this year's awards program at a breakfast on April 23 at the Hotel Intercontinental in Sydney.
He will also be the special guest at a breakfast for State and Territory finalists at Mural Hall in Parliament House in Canberra on November 22.
The 1999 Australian Export Awards are being organised by The Charlton Group, which publishes Business Asia, Overseas Trading, Australian Banking & Finance, Business Class and Europe Business Review.
