Key international education and business trends and opportunities will come under the spotlight during two international conferences in Melbourne and Hobart later this year.

The 16th Australian International Education Conference (AIEC) will draw more than 800 leading education and business leaders from around the world to the Tasmanian capital from 30 September to 4 October.

The AIEC is the third largest international education conference in the world and is managed by IDP Education Australia, a leader in international education and development services. The theme of the conference, "New Times, New Approaches", reflects the fast changing global marketplace and the opportunities that exist to develop new and practical ways to embrace change and shape the future of international education.

Many internationally-renowned and inspirational speakers will address the conference including Christina Noble, founder of the Christina Noble Children's Foundation in Vietnam. Other keynote speakers include Todd Davis from the Institute of International Education in New York, Professor Rupa Shah, Vice-Chancellor of SNDT University in India, and the head of Radio Australia Jean-Gabriel Manguy.

Meanwhile, hundreds of graduates of Australian universities from around the world, including top government and corporate players from Australia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand, India, Singapore, Cambodia, Indonesia, Europe and the USA, will gather in Melbourne to network, exchange business ideas and consider opportunities for collaboration at The Australian Universities International Alumni Convention (AUIAC), in Melbourne from 5 to 7 September.

The theme of the conference, "Networking in the Knowledge Economy", has drawn an impressive roll call of Australian alumni including:
