Vietnam Airlines Corp is targetting new routes to San Francisco, Frankfurt and the UK as the state-owned carrier takes delivery of four Boeing Co 777s in the next two years, according to chief executive Nguyen Xuan Hien. The company signed a loan agreement in Hanoi with a unit of Citigroup Inc for the purchase of the first 777-200ER, scheduled for delivery next month.
A second 777, to be financed by ABN Amro NV, will be delivered in September, while the last two may both arrive by next year.
