* Hong Kong -- Hong Kong just gets busier and busier. Airlines are to offer 147 more scheduled passenger and cargo services to and from Hong Kong on a weekly basis in the summer season of 2000 (now until October 28), a spokesman for the Civil Aviation Department said. About 162 more scheduled passenger and cargo services will be offered per week, but 15 services will also be suspended, giving a net increase of 147. Most of the new services will operate between Hong Kong and cities in the Asia-Pacific region.

* Chicago -- An author is about to release a new book devoted to exploring ways to stay flab-free on the road. `How to Stay Healthy & Fit on the Road', by Joanne Lichten, gives tips on healthy on-the-road eating. Lichten recommends that business travellers pack on-the-road food such as raisins, quick-cooking oatmeal, non-fat milk powder, dried fruit, granola-type bars, instant soups and small cans of tuna.
