THAILAND

Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok

Situated on the corner of the revered Erawan Shrine and close to the heart of Bangkok's main city centre, the Grand Hyatt Erawan was designed with the business traveller specifically in mind. Alongside 24-hour butler, laundry and valet services and multilingual staff, the hotel offers its guests access to a 24-hour business centre, express check in/out, fully equipped fitness centre and spa. Each of the hotel's 387 rooms also include two telephone lines with IDD facility, voicelink messaging, computer data points and an in-room safe.

Le Royal Meridien Bangkok

The 38-storey Le Royal Meridien hotel in Bangkok is set in an ideal location, close to the city's shopping, business and diplomatic districts. All of the hotel's 381 deluxe rooms and suites include a large business desk with lamp, three telephones with two lines, in-room safe and satellite TV. All of the rooms command views over the city skyline. To cater for the business executive, the hotel also features a business centre with translation and interpretation services, internet and e-mail access.

The Oriental Hotel, Bangkok

Last year's dual winner of the Best Business Hotels Award for Thailand and the Best Conference Facilities in Asia is a strong contender in this year's competition. The Peninsula Bangkok, ideally located on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River in Thonburi, is a unique 39-storey hotel which capitalises on views of the Bangkok skyline. All 370 rooms provide guests with dual-line telephones, voicemail, in-room safe, and overt sized executive desk, as well as access to a variety of general services.

The Caravelle Hotel Saigon

A new entrant in the Best Business Hotels competition, the Caravelle Hotel in Saigon was originally home to media and war correspondents, and has been transformed into one of Vietnam's premier five star hotels. Opposite the City Opera House and overlooking Lam Son Square, the hotel is comprised of two buildings -- the original 10 floor and new 24 floor tower, added in 1998. Each of its 311 rooms features three telephones with international direct dial, internet and e-mail access, in-room safe, data port and international TV channels. For the business guest, the hotel maintains a fully equipped business centre and has a variety of meeting rooms.
