Versace Hotel's Conference Goals - Brief Article

NEW HOTEL THE PALAZZO Versace has experienced early success with its aim of being a key hotel for convention and conference business.
The Versace, situated at Main Beach on Queensland's Gold Coast, has targeted the international and local conference market since it first opened its doors in September 2000.
Hotel general manager Michael Brooks said he was happy with the response,
"The most pleasing aspect is the bookings from within Australia, The local Australian market has completely embraced the concept of a Versace Hotel with unbelievable enthusiasm reflecting in the overwhelming number of bookings," he said,
Queensland has captured approximately 20 per cent of Australians travelling for conventions, while the International Congress and Convention Association has ranked Australia third out of the top 10 countries for international meetings,
Queensland-based developer Sunland Group worked with architects Desmond Brooks International to deliver the Versace Hotel project. The development aimed to capture views of the Broadwater, while separating yet integrating the hotel with the apartments. The brief was to also provide the architectural basis for the interior design and detailing by the Versace team.
