Sponsorships still available for awards - Australian Export Awards

Business Asia, Sept, 2002

2002 AUSTRALIAN EXPORT AWARDS

Nominations may be closed for 2002, but businesses keen to become involved in the Australian Export Awards can still do so through the sponsorship of an Awards category.

Some of Australia's leading companies have been sponsors of individual categories in the past, with the trend continuing today thanks to the proud involvement of the Commonwealth Bank, DHL, P&O Nedlloyd and many more.

The Australian Export Awards--now in its 39th year--is the leading trade industry awards night on the Australian calendar. The Australian Export Awards aim to recognise leading exporters, as well as highlight the importance of trade to the community in general.

Sponsorships available

For the 2002 program, several categories are still available for sponsorship: the Services category; Information and Communications Technology; Minerals and Energy; and Special Achievement.

Sponsorships allow companies to directly support Australia's trade effort, as well as helping boost the sponsor's profile within the general community.

The sponsors for the 2002 Australian Export Awards so far are:

* P&O Nedlloyd Agbribusiness Award;

* Austrade Arts and Entertainment Award;

* IDP Education Australia Education Award;

* AusIndustry Emerging Exporter Award;

* Australian Made Large Advanced Manufacturer Award;

* Commonwealth Bank Small to Medium Manufacturer Award;

* Australia Port Regional Exporter of the Year Award;

* DHL Australian Exporter of the Year Award; and

* Austrade International Award.
