RadioScape Names New CEO

Communications Today, July 9, 2002

RadioScape, which provides software and hardware aimed at accelerating the baseband development of digital wireless communications systems, appointed John Hall as CEO and director. Peter Florence, RadioScape's co-founder and former CEO, has been appointed vice president of corporate business development.

Hall most recently worked as European vice president of MIPS Technologies, a supplier of RISC processor intellectual property. He previously held senior roles at Cadence Design Systems, a provider of chip and system design automation tools, and with Daisy Systems, Intel [INTC], Texas Instruments [TXN] and Valid Logic, which merged with Cadence.

RadioScape's core technology, the Communication Virtual Machine, is designed to enable semiconductor companies and wireless equipment developers to rapidly develop and deploy multi-mode, complex, real-time DSP applications in a hardware-neutral fashion, reducing time-to-market and development risk and costs.
