MCI Chairman, President and CEO Michael Capellas has agreed to deliver the keynote address at CompTel's Fall Conference and Trade Exposition, the association announced Monday.
Capellas was named chairman, president and CEO of MCI in December 2002, in the wake of revelations about widespread fraud and accounting irregularities at the company. He is a 27-year veteran of the information technology business, who most recently served as president of Hewlett-Packard Co. Previously he was the chairman and CEO of Compaq, joining the company in 1998 as chief information officer and having served as chief operating officer before being named CEO in July 1999.
The CompTel Fall Conference and Trade Exposition takes place Oct. 7-10 at the Dolphin & Swan Hotels in Orlando, Fla.
