DirecTv, Sundance Channel Team Up For Pay-per-view Film Promotion

New York-based Sundance Channel and El Segundo, Calif.-based satellite TV services provider DirecTV have joined forces to offer a pay-per-view block of Latin American films every weekend during September.
The programming, to be offered on the DIRECTV PARA TODOS service on weekends via pay-per-view 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. EDT beginning Aug. 31, will include seven feature-length films and three short-films from Sundance Channel's "Arte Latino" FilmFest. A replay will be available of each programming block per broadcast day. The films originate from the Latin America countries of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Cuba and Venezuela. Each film will be shown in its original language.
