Visto Funding Up To $95 Million

Wireless enterprise software developer Visto added representatives from WaldenVC and Rustic Canyon Ventures to its board after those companies led investing of $31 million in Visto's latest financing round.
Mountain View, Calif.-based Visto had received more than $95 million in private equity since its founding in 1996. The company's latest funding will go to support its sales force expansion, product enhancements and partnership developments.
In Visto's latest contract announced last month, it is developing wireless e-mail software for PDA vendor Handspring's [HAND] Treo models. That product is expected to be available in the spring 2002.
