TSI Lands Second China Deal In A Week

TSI Telecommunication Services will provide its inpack platform to connect Hutchison Telecom's (Hong Kong) general packet radio service network with other GPRS networks and enable its customers to access GPRS service globally.

The contract marks Tampa-based TSI's second in a week in China. Last week TSI announced its will provide international roaming services to enable China Unicom [CHU] subscribers to use a single handset and mobile number to make and receive calls on multiple CDMA networks across the Asia-Pacific region, North America and Latin America.

TSI's inpack platform is a centralized Internet-protocol routing network that interconnects GPRS networks enables global roaming coverage directly with other GPRS networks or via other IP routing connections to those networks. >TK
